Strapping of boxes for the mail order industry.
 
Fully automatic strapping lines are usually required by companies that manufacture uniform or palletised products and packages. However, companies with smaller and varied products tend to choose a semi- automatic solution, avoiding the extra costs associated with mechanical handing and automatic conveying of the packages to the strapping machine.
 
A good solution for Mail order houses is to combine a side seal strapping machine with basic gravity conveyor to transport the product to the strapping area.
 
At the end of the gravity conveyor the strapping machine conveyor takes over the package and Photocells activate the strapping cycle. The strapping machine conveyor then moves the package forward to the second strapping position. Pack compression and pack stop devices ensure package is always in the correct position during the strapping cycle. The entire strapping and packing cycle is controlled centrally by one person as shown in our example using 8 machines.
