Pavement Tiles

Pavement Tiles are strapped and protected by wrapping in foil.
 
Pavement tiles are not only functional but also decorative. The usual method for piles of stones to keep together, to transport them from the factory to the building site, in this case is not sufficient. The vulnerable areas and corners must be protected. This is done by a layer between the tiles and then strapping at high tension. Foil or rope, is layed between the individual layers of the stacks separating them, preventing scratches and abrasions.
This method is seldom applied due to the high costs. In this case, strapping is the only possible protective measure to secure the stack. The pallets are subject to vibration during transport. Over time the pallets are stacked on top of one another, resulting in a shrinking effect. Steel strap would loosen. PET, however, remains generally tight  due to the elastic charastics of the strap.
Unlike PP strap, PET strap does not lose its power over the long term. These straps should therefore be applied at extremely high tension. Our new strapping machine with CFH XF 172 M-1 unit is designed for high tensions up to 5500 N.
