Wrapping and strapping of sheets of paper
 
When the paper is standing ready for shipment,  usually from a number of packages from 200 to 500 sheets of the same size, called a belt. If the remains are not stored at the printers, several thousand sheets directly stacked on a pallet without the need of wrapping belts. The average pallet weight is 700 kg, the maximum weight is about 1200 kg.
 
To maintain a balanced amount of moisture in the paper and to protect it from dirt and dust, each pallet is wrapped in film. Even if the individual belts already wrapped in film. Until now it was water-resistant PE coated paper used for this purpose, but since this paper consists of several types of material, the waste is very high and costly. The manual wrapping of the paper causes high wages so the best solution is PE stretch wrapping film, it's clean, cheap and easy to wrap the load with an automatic wrapping Pallet machine.
 
Pallet loads are strapped fully automatically with a press, so the air between the layers disappears. PET strap now replaces the steel belts which were used in the past.
